This morning in Kyiv, work began to clear the streets and areas of abandoned vehicles. Employees of the Traffic Organization Center are actively involved in this campaign, starting from the Minsk District in Obolon, where old cars have accumulated over the years, turning into “skeletons.” These vehicles block access for rescue, emergency, and medical services, and also complicate the work of specialized municipal equipment. Private vehicle drivers are also complaining that these metal structures are obstructing them.

Therefore, the presence of tow trucks on the streets of Obolon is extremely necessary. All vehicles subject to towing will be moved to a designated storage area, and their relocation will be recorded in a protocol.

“The Kyiv City Military Administration has instructed the city law enforcement to intensify efforts to clear courtyards of improperly parked cars that hinder the movement of special vehicles during emergencies,” said the head of the KVA, Timur Tkachenko.

The city is also considering the situation regarding parking in courtyards and driveways, particularly the issue of illegal parking in spaces designated for people with disabilities.
