The First Fiber-Optic Strike Drone Tested in Ukraine with a Range of 20 km

В Україні випробували перший дрон із специфічною системою керування

Specialists in Ukraine have successfully conducted tests of a new strike drone that utilizes a specific control system based on fiber optics. This drone demonstrated the ability to cover a distance of over 20 km, navigating a route with various obstacles and simulating an attack on a target.

A post from the social media user Brave1 noted:

“The first tests of FPV drones using fiber optics with a range of over 20 km were conducted in Ukraine… We navigated a route longer than 20 km with obstacles and simulated an attack on a target”

.

Experts emphasize that FPV drones of this type have high resistance to electronic interference, allowing them to carry out combat missions even in conditions of active electronic jamming. The absence of radio emissions makes these drones invisible to the enemy, significantly enhancing their effectiveness.

Thanks to high-quality communication, FPV drones provide stable and clear video transmission even over long distances. Currently, specialists continue to refine and develop these technologies, which could significantly change the tactics of combat operations.
