In Kyiv, two residents of the Lisovyi Massiv face up to ten years in prison for assaulting a lawyer. Investigators have gathered compelling evidence linking the suspects to the beating and robbery of the man.
Details of the Incident in Lisovyi Massiv
The incident occurred in the evening when the 35-year-old lawyer was walking home from the metro. Two strangers approached him and provocatively initiated a conflict without any reason. During the argument, the assailants knocked the lawyer to the ground, struck him on the head, and took his personal belongings.
The attackers removed the victim’s wristwatch, took a backpack containing documents and valuables, and then fled the scene.
Investigation and Accountability of the Suspects
During operational search activities, law enforcement detained the suspects. They turned out to be local residents aged 42 and 45, both unemployed. During searches, items belonging to the victim lawyer were seized from them.
Both assailants are charged with robbery combined with violence, committed by a group of individuals under martial law. They face up to ten years in prison for this.
The indictment has now been sent to court, which will soon make a decision regarding the future of the accused. Both suspects remain in custody until the conclusion of the trial.
