Participants of the “Coalition of the Willing” summit held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, reported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, the conversation was “good, positive, and specific,” and he expressed gratitude to Trump for this meeting.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine and the “Coalition of the Willing” are awaiting a response from Russia to the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
“This proposal has been in place since the negotiations in Saudi Arabia when it was first made by the United States. When there is a ceasefire, there will be the best chance for diplomacy. Ukraine is ready for meetings and negotiations in any format”

In Kyiv, at the meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing,” a decision was made for a complete and unconditional ceasefire, which is set to begin on May 12 and last for at least 30 days. This decision is an important step towards the diplomatic resolution of the conflict.

After the phone conversation with Zelensky, U.S. President Donald Trump called for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. According to him, if this proposal is ignored, Washington and its allies will impose additional sanctions against Russia.
Trump’s administration emphasized that further resolution is only possible if the announced ceasefire is respected, which will create an opportunity for diplomacy and finding ways to peacefully resolve the conflict.
