Russia plans to carry out mass attacks on Ukraine, using up to a thousand strike drones daily. Ukraine already has a response to this threat — domestic interceptor drones capable of eliminating most enemy UAVs. For the large-scale implementation of this technology, financial support from partners is necessary, as stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing in Rome, where a conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine took place.

Domestic Development in Collaboration with the USA
According to the president, the interceptor drones are the result of collaboration between Ukrainian engineers and American specialists. Four companies are involved in the development, one of which is a joint Ukrainian-American venture. The management of this company is conducted by Americans, while the engineering solutions are provided by Ukrainian specialists. Ukrainian scientists and engineers have found the key to countering Russia’s mass attacks, but accelerated funding is needed for serial production.
“They have a plan for a thousand drones, 700-1000 drones a day. Right now, if our partners hear everything I discussed with them, we will shoot everything down. We have a solution: interceptor drones that take down: everything, not everything, well, almost everything, definitely… We will be able to mass-produce this, we need to accelerate the funding of these processes,” Zelensky said on July 10 during a briefing in Rome, where the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine is taking place.
The Threat of Mass Attacks and Ukraine’s Response
The Commander of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Robert Brovdi, with the call sign “Madyar,” previously warned that Russia could launch up to a thousand drones daily. In recent months, the Air Forces have recorded simultaneous mass attacks with hundreds of drones on Ukrainian cities and villages. The occupiers also use missiles, guided aerial bombs, and multiple launch rocket systems, attempting to inflict maximum damage on infrastructure and the civilian population.
The leadership of Russia publicly denies targeted strikes on civilian objects; however, Ukrainian authorities and international organizations record numerous cases of destruction of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy facilities, and water supply systems. These attacks are classified as war crimes of the Russian Federation and have a systemic nature.
