Drone Manufacturing Enterprises ‘Shahed’ Under Restrictions
The decree implements the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, based on proposals from the Security Service of Ukraine regarding the application of restrictive measures. Among the companies subjected to sanctions is the limited liability company ‘Morgan’, registered in the city of Yelabuga, Republic of Tatarstan.
This company specializes in metal processing, as well as the production of wire products and fasteners. It operates in the territory of the special economic zone ‘Alabuga’, where, in particular, ‘Shahed’ drones are assembled. These drones are regularly used by the Russian Federation to carry out attacks on Ukrainian territory. Previously, Ukrainian drones have already struck targets in this area.
Synchronization of Sanctions with Partners
On the same day, President Zelensky approved the NSDC’s decision to coordinate sanctioning actions with the countries of the European Union and the G7 states. According to this decision, Ukraine is to implement the sanction packages of its partners within its jurisdiction and facilitate the introduction of its own restrictions in leading global legal systems.
“In his comments, he emphasized the need to implement the sanction packages of partners within Ukrainian jurisdiction, as well as to realize Ukrainian sanction decisions in key global jurisdictions.”
