The list submitted to European institutions includes the birth dates and document numbers of each of the Russian commanders who, according to the Ukrainian side, are involved in war crimes against the population of Ukraine. The list includes representatives from long-range aviation, naval forces, and ground-based missile troops of the Russian Federation. These military personnel participated in missile strikes on cities and communities in Ukraine, as well as in the killings of civilians.

“Ukraine has initiated an entry ban to the countries of the European Union and the imposition of sanctions against nearly 130 Russian commanders involved in crimes against Ukrainians. The relevant document with their personal data, as well as information about about 300 of their relatives, has already been submitted to the European Union,” the Office of the President stated.

Sanctions Against Russian Paralympians and Defense Sector Companies

In addition to the commanders of the Russian armed forces, Ukraine recently imposed sanctions against ten Russian Paralympians who participated in hostilities against Ukraine. Furthermore, sanctions have been extended to 130 individuals and 48 legal entities related to the Russian military-industrial complex. Among the sanctioned companies is an enterprise that supplies components for the production of satellite navigation equipment of the “Kometa” series. Such components are used in Russian drones, cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as in guided munitions and aircraft that are used to strike Ukrainian cities.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s participation in joint work with the EU is extremely important, and the official Kyiv is grateful to European partners for their support in implementing sanctions against those involved in the war against Ukraine.
