Controlled Arms Exports to Start Soon
Special attention during the meeting was given to issues in the defense sector. The President emphasized the need to achieve “clear results” in ensuring the production and supply of various types of drones — FPV, interceptors, and drones for conducting deep strikes. The Minister of Defense has been tasked with ensuring the full implementation of these objectives.
“The program for the controlled export of our weapons must be launched next month. By the end of the year, we aim to achieve a target of over 50 percent of weapons produced in Ukraine for the defense of our state,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.
Increase in the Share of Ukrainian Weapons in the Armed Forces
In September, the head of state noted that nearly 60% of the armaments used by Ukrainian military forces are indeed domestically produced weapons. At the beginning of October, Zelensky emphasized that it was time to initiate the export of surplus Ukrainian weapons, which would allow for additional funding for the production of other types of armaments.
During the last meeting, the government also reviewed the situation in the pharmaceutical market, pricing policies, and the availability of medications for the population.
