Discussion on Future Peace for Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky previously noted that he has already informed the leaders of European countries, the leadership of the European Union, and the NATO Secretary General about the content of the negotiations with the American side. The main goal of these negotiations is to achieve progress in developing security guarantees and forming a sustainable foundation for the future security of Ukraine and Europe.

As part of the ongoing negotiations, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff plans to visit Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During this meeting, Witkoff intends to inform the Russian leadership about the results of the Ukrainian-American consultations that took place at the Hallandale resort in Florida on December 30.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who led the American delegation, characterized the negotiations as very productive but emphasized that work must continue to finalize the parameters of a potential peace agreement. He confirmed that Witkoff will head to Moscow for the next round of negotiations with Vladimir Putin.
