Variety and origin of trees at the capital’s fairs
This year, Kyiv residents will be able to purchase trees at official Christmas tree fairs, which will be brought from the forestry enterprises of Volyn, Poltava, Transcarpathia, and Chernihiv regions. In addition to Ukrainian trees, foreign trees from Denmark and Poland will also be offered.
Prices for trees and festive compositions
According to the Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development of the Kyiv City State Administration, prices for New Year trees in Kyiv this year will range from 500 to 2500 hryvnias per linear meter, depending on the species and country of origin. Specifically, pine trees will cost from 500 hryvnias per linear meter, Polish trees will start at 750 hryvnias, while the most expensive will remain the trees from Denmark, with prices starting at 2500 hryvnias per linear meter.
In addition to standard trees, the fairs will also feature festive compositions of various heights. A composition with a 30-centimeter tree will cost 250 hryvnias, a 60-centimeter one will be 400 hryvnias, and a one-meter tree will be 550 hryvnias. For a one-meter composition made of pine, buyers will pay 650 hryvnias.
The price of a New Year tree will start from 500 to 2500 hryvnias per linear meter. Specifically, prices for pine will start at 500 hryvnias per linear meter, for Polish trees at 750, and for Danish trees at 2500.
