Details of the Case Regarding Andriy Yermak
On May 14 of this year, the court chose a preventive measure for Yermak in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of 140 million hryvnias. On May 18, Yermak was released from the detention center after paying the bail.
Yermak himself stated that the accusations against him are unfounded.
Circumstances of the Investigation and NABU Suspicions
According to the investigation, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported on May 11 the discovery of an organized group involved in the legalization of over 460 million hryvnias through elite construction near Kyiv. In particular, from 2021 to 2025, group members, according to detectives, engaged in money laundering by constructing a cottage community in the village of Kozyn in the Kyiv region. Four private residences with additional buildings and structures, as well as a separate shared residence with a spa area, were being built on a total area of about 8 hectares.
The suspicion in the case has been announced against the former head of the President’s Office of Ukraine and six other individuals who are considered accomplices in this crime.
The investigative journalism project also established who contributed the remaining necessary amount for the bail that allowed Yermak to be released from custody. The required amount was managed to be raised over the weekend, even with a certain surplus.
