Purpose of the Foreign Trip
During his stay in Germany, Zelensky plans to hold a series of strategic negotiations. In particular, he is set to meet with the Chancellor of Germany and participate in an international video conference with the President of the United States and European leaders.
Diplomatic Communications
Despite the fact that the Ukrainian president was not invited to the scheduled meeting between the President of the United States and the leader of Russia, diplomatic communication channels remain active. The U.S. administration is maintaining contact with the Ukrainian leadership.
“Ukraine will not give up its territories to Russia,” emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of “some territorial exchange” between Ukraine and Russia; however, the Ukrainian side categorically opposes such proposals.
In the context of current geopolitical events, Zelensky continues active diplomatic efforts to protect Ukraine’s interests on the international stage.
