Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has released updated information regarding the number of Russian strike drones that crossed the state border of Poland on the night of September 10. According to him, the updated data indicates a greater number of aircraft than previously reported.

Details of the drone incident
Zelensky noted that the first instance of a Russian drone crossing the border between Ukraine and Poland was recorded around 00:50 Kyiv time. According to estimates from the Ukrainian side, about two dozen Russian drones may have penetrated Polish airspace on the night of September 10. Some of the drones significantly deepened into the territory of the neighboring country.
“The number of Russian drones that crossed the border into Poland and significantly penetrated its territory may be greater than the previously stated figure. According to updated data, around two dozen Russian drones may have entered Polish airspace that night,” wrote the President of Ukraine.
The head of state emphasized that at least two Russian drones that entered Polish territory used Belarusian airspace. In total, several dozen Russian drones were moving along the border of Ukraine and Belarus, as well as in the western regions of Ukraine, approaching designated targets in both Ukraine and Poland. Zelensky added that Ukraine is ready to deepen cooperation with partners to enhance the protection of its airspace.
Poland’s reaction to the airspace violation
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk described the situation as a “huge number” of Russian drones violating Polish airspace on the night of September 10. According to him, those drones that posed a direct threat were shot down by Polish forces.
On the morning of September 10, the Operational Command of Poland reported an “unprecedented violation of Polish airspace by drones.” Polish military officials clarified that some of the drones were shot down, but their exact origin is currently not disclosed.
