In Kyiv, police detained a 39-year-old city resident who caused a disturbance in the store after an unsuccessful attempt to steal alcohol from the supermarket.
Incident in the Capital’s Store
According to law enforcement, the incident occurred in one of the stores in the Dnipro district of the capital. The intoxicated visitor attempted to take a bottle of alcohol, but his actions were noticed by the security guard. After that, the man began to shout loudly, use profanity, and knock bottles off the shelves onto the floor, causing material damage to the store.

“The Dnipro police department in Kyiv received a report from the store administrator, who informed that one of the customers was using profanity and was also hitting and knocking bottles of alcohol off the shelves,” the Kyiv police communication department reported.
Legal Qualification and Punishment
After his detention, the offender was informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for responsibility for hooliganism. If the man’s guilt is proven, he faces up to five years of restriction of liberty.
