Main Reasons for Complaints from Kyiv Residents
According to the State Consumer Service of the capital, this year the agency received 2,741 complaints regarding violations of legislation in the field of consumer rights protection, which accounts for 79.9% of all complaints. The highest number of complaints from Kyiv residents were related to the low quality of housing and communal services, unsatisfactory transportation services, as well as disruptions in communication and internet services.
Additional Areas of Complaints
In addition to housing and communal issues, Kyiv residents also actively complained about other areas. In particular, inspectors reviewed 562 complaints regarding violations of consumer rights in the trade of food and non-food products. Another 514 complaints concerned violations of trading rules, while 109 complaints were about compliance with legislation in the field of state price regulation.
The highest number of complaints was related to non-compliance with the requirements of current legislation in the field of consumer rights protection – 2,741 (79.9%). The most common complaints were about poor quality of housing and communal services, unsatisfactory transportation services, and “disruptions” in communication and internet services.
Additionally, the capital recorded 97 complaints about the negative impact of physical environmental factors, including noise, vibration, and electromagnetic radiation. Furthermore, 331 complaints related to violations in the field of food safety were registered.
