Kamikaze drones attacked at least four key airbases of the Russian Federation

The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a unique special operation called ‘Web’, as a result of which Russia lost about a third of its strategic carriers of cruise missiles located at the main military airfields of the aggressor country.
Scale of losses for the Russian aviation and details of the attack
“7 billion USD. This is the estimated cost of the enemy’s strategic aviation that was hit today as a result of the SBU’s special operation ‘Web’,” the SBU reported.
According to the Security Service, on June 1, strikes were carried out against four Russian airbases as part of this special operation: ‘Belyaya’ (Irkutsk region), ‘Dyagilevo’ (Ryazan), ‘Olenya’ (Murmansk region), and ‘Ivanovo’ (Ivanovo region).
One of the features of the operation was that drones were launched from trucks located at gas stations near the military airfields. This allowed the drones to be brought as close to the targets as possible, increasing the effectiveness of the strike.
Preparation for the operation and destruction of aviation
According to sources, around 40 aircraft were destroyed and damaged during the operation, including strategic bombers. This significantly affected the combat potential of the Russian aviation and its ability to launch missile strikes on Ukrainian territory.
According to an informant, the preparation for Operation ‘Web’ lasted more than a year and a half. Initially, the SBU organized the delivery of FPV drones to Russian territory, and later, special mobile wooden houses where the drones were concealed for future attacks.
The Security Service of Ukraine promised to release additional details about the special operation ‘Web’ later.
