Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, who arrived in Kyiv on January 16 for a working visit. The Czech leader also visited Lviv the day before.

Czech Support for Ukrainian Hospitals and Energy
Yulia Svyrydenko expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its ongoing military and humanitarian assistance, primarily within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program. According to her, the Czech side will continue the modernization of medical institutions in Ukraine, particularly in regions located near the front line. As part of this cooperation, six cogeneration units with a total capacity of 1.45 megawatts provided by the Czech Republic are already operational in the Kharkiv region, ensuring stable heating for the city of Chuhuiv. Additionally, two more units are currently being connected to the city hospital.
Cooperation Agreement and Its Prospects
During the negotiations, Svyrydenko announced plans to soon sign an intergovernmental agreement with the Czech Republic regarding technical and financial cooperation. According to her, this agreement will strengthen relations between the countries and develop effective formats for cooperation, including conducting joint government consultations and the work of an intergovernmental commission on economic, industrial, and scientific-technical cooperation.
“We plan to sign an intergovernmental agreement on technical and financial cooperation soon, which will mutually strengthen our states. We already have established formats that have proven their effectiveness, including joint government consultations and an intergovernmental commission on economic, industrial, and scientific-technical cooperation,” the head of government stated.
