Romania’s Role in Supporting Ukraine
Zelensky stressed that Romania is a strategically important partner for Ukraine, capable of helping to address issues related to expanding production capacities, similar to countries like Denmark and Germany.
“For us, Romania is a very important partner, and I thank Romania for being a good partner and for being able to address production capacity issues, as in Denmark and Germany.”
Regarding the volume of military assistance offered by Romania, Zelensky noted that he cannot provide additional information on this matter at the moment.
Signing Important Intergovernmental Agreements
After a joint press conference with Romanian President Nicolae Ciucă, Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Prime Minister Iulian Bulai. Subsequently, both leaders visited the Fetești airbase, further demonstrating the deepening cooperation between the countries.
On March 12 in Bucharest, Zelensky and Ciucă signed three key intergovernmental documents: a framework agreement on cooperation in the energy sector, a joint Ukrainian-Romanian statement on defense production, and a declaration on establishing a strategic partnership. These agreements are intended to strengthen the political, defense, and economic ties between Ukraine and Romania.
